One shot dead after armed bandits invade Guyhoc store
The Police are grilling one of the captured bandits identified as Dwayne Simon as they try to arrest the others who were involved in the robbery murder at a grocery store in Guyhoc Gardens Monday evening.
The incident left 36-year-old Heron Dennis dead. He was shot in the neck. Dennis and other customers in the shop decided to challenge the bandits. It was during this period that he was shot dead.
It was just around 7:30 pm residents told this Newscast that the bandits barged into the Fuzzy’s General Store and held up the patrons at gunpoint. The patrons reportedly retaliated and the men began discharging gunshots indiscriminately.
Some eyewitnesses to the incident told this Newscast what took place.
As word got around of the shooting incident, residents gathered in their numbers at the crime scene. They told this Newscast that this was not the first time that bandits attacked the businessman.
The Police are reporting that Dwayne Simon of McDoom, EBD, and two other men, one of whom was armed with a firearm, entered Fuzzy’s Store at Arapaima Street, Guyhoc Park, and held up three customers in the Store that included Heron Dennis, 36 years, of Guyhoc Park.
According to the Police customers began throwing missiles at the perpetrators, who began discharging rounds indiscriminately. It was at this point Heron Dennis was fatally shot to his neck and Dwayne Simon, one of the suspects, was shot and injured to his back and right foot by one of his accomplices.
The man was taken into custody and he is a patient under guard at the GPHC.
