WI captain upbeat about team’s chances against Pakistan in 5-match Series

shot0006Cricket: West Indies Captain Dwayne Bravo is upbeat about the West Indies chances against Pakistan in their upcoming 5 match series which starts in Guyana on Sunday. Speaking to the media just after they arrived in Guyana at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport. Bravo said that the West Indies will be looking to rebound after a poor string of results over the past several weeks dating back to the Champions Trophy in England.

Bravo said the team had a few days to regroup and will be giving the Guyanese and indeed West Indies fans much to cheer about. He said the team has always done well here and paid tribute to the great support they always get in Guyana.

Bravo said his own form may have suffered since he took over the Captaincy from Darren Sammy but he has the support of all his players  and they will be looking to give their best effort.

Bravo said that the public must be patient and remember that the Team has been doing well in recent times and need all the support they can get.

Pakistan will be high in confidence after beating Guyana in a one day warm up at the Bourda cricket ground yesterday.

The two teams clash in the first one day on Sunday at the Providence Stadium and return to the same venue on Tuesday for the second.
