Fire guts motorcar of Kitty, Georgetown businesswoman
A Pike street Kitty business couple is counting their loss and pointing fingers at their mechanic after fire destroyed their motorcar this morning.
It was just around three that the businesswoman said she heard an explosion. She said upon investigation she saw her vehicle in flames. The Toyota carina 212 was parked in front of the family’s Kitty home.
The woman said the vehicle was down over the weekend after she got into an accident and she it was only last evening that she collected it from the mechanic.
Initial investigations by the Guyana Fire Service indicate that the fire may have been of electrical origin. The woman is blaming the mechanic for negligence.
The businesswoman said the loss of the car will severely hamper her business since the vehicle was the main source of transportation.
