Citadel Salvation Army officers leaving after a decade of service in Guyana – 2nd Jul – 2013

shot0004It was an emotional day for the members of the Citadel Salvation Army church on South Road and Alexander Streets.

Current officers Captain Mireille and Matignol-Saint Lot said their official goodbye to the church after serving here in Guyana for 10 years.

The couple which got married here has extended their family and when it’s time to leave Guyana it will be an emotional one for the Officers after working in several locations throughout the country.

For the husband the time spent at the Kingston Drug Rehab Center was the most impacting moment in his service to Guyana.

It was a regular Thursday night Choir practice for members of the church and the thought of the St. Lot’s only reminds them of the impact the two made on their lives.

The Haitian couple has three daughters one of whom is a Guyanese and the family will be reassigned to another Salvation Army location in Kingston Jamaica this month.
