Natural Resources Ministry recommends Bosai Bauxite Company take action to improve the safety of its workers – 27th Jun 2013
This comes in wake of the recent fatal accident where three Bosai workers were killed and two injured at the bauxite company’s East Montgomery Mine site
The vehicle they were in tried to overtake the truck, but the vehicle lost control and slid under the truck.
This was confirmed by Bosai representative Norman McLean.
Minister Robert Persaud and a team inspected the Linden operations of Bosai and visited the survivors of the accident in the hospital.
Shortly after the accident officials from the Ministry of Natural Resources, Labour Ministry and the GGMC were deployed to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident. Those investigations have not been concluded.
