Several Socio-economic challenges are affecting residents in Annai Village, region 9. According to Village Toshao Mark George, problems with Health, Road, other Infrastructure and education are just some of the issues that continue to plague residents in that community.
Zeroing his attention on the community health care programme, George said that this is in dire need of improving.
George, who was at the time speaking with reporters at the launching ceremony of a GT&T Cell Tower in the area, said efficient healthcare services are urgently needed.
Annai Village is home to about 3000 people, but it serves as a hub for other villages looking to access healthcare services.
The Toshao added that while the District Health Clinic has a steady supply of drugs and other medications, they are some additional problems with drugs in the riverain areas. He said there is also a staffing problem.
More than 50 people are treated at the Annai Healthcare clinic on a daily basis.
