Georgetown Chamber of Commerce launches business magazine – 29th May 2013
This was the advice from the Mexican Ambassador to Guyana, Francisco Olguin, as he delivered the feature address ay the launch of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce’s Business Guyana Magazine at the Pegasus Hotel on Tuesday night.
According to the Ambassador, learning from the Mexican experience, Guyana needs to become a competitive business environment with the capacity to compete internationally.
President of the Chamber, Clinton Urling said it is expected that the Business Guyana Magazine served as a central place for prospective investors to get updated information on Guyana.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Samuel Hinds explained that as Guyana’s economy continues to grow with an expected 5.7 percent expansion this year, it is critical that the Private Sector take a lead role in Guyana’s economic development.
This is the third year of the publishing of the Business Guyana Magazine. It is expected to be distributed globally via Guyana Embassies, High Commissions and several trade expositions.
