Transfer of a Doctor from an East Coast village Clinic angers residents – 24th May 2013

shot0002Senior citizens and other patients who would normally seek medical attention at the Victoria Health Centre are angry with the authorities. According to the patients the Ministry has transferred the Doctor without any notification to the residents. Some of the Patients arrived at the clinic around 4 this morning to seek medical attention only to be greeted with news that is not going down well with them. No replacement was put in place.

The residents are calling for the doctor to resume duty at the Health Centre and vowed to take all necessary action to have the Ministry rethink its position.

The doctor would normally see the patients on a monthly basis and administer any medical attention needed. Now the residents are wondering if they are being victimized.
