The Rotary Club of Georgetown assists a number of youths to acquire better public speaking skills – 15th May 2013
Some youths have been given the opportunity to acquire better public speaking skills in order to prepare them for interpersonal and group communication. The event in the form of a workshop was organised by the Rotary Club of Georgetown and the participants were taken through some of the areas of focus by Ms. Marileyne Trotz during an introduction. She told the young Rotaractors that good habits have to be learned.
Ms. Trotz was quick to point out that some of the common mistakes made in everyday use of language is not limited to the participants at the workshop.
Ansa McAL and Scotiabank are two of the main sponsors of the workshop which will conclude its second and final session next Saturday. Country Manager of Scotiabank Amanda St. Aubyn said that being apart of such a programme fits well into the Bank’s programme of giving back to the community.
Some of the participants were looking forward to learning more about communication during the workshop.
