Sophia, Georgetown man stripped, tied to a pole, beaten and chopped to death in shocking tale of vigilante justice – 8th May 2013
A man who is alleged to have been involved in several break and enter robberies in the Sophia community met a dreadful death today. The man was reportedly caught as he was about to commit one such act, tied to a utility pole and given a sound trashing, he was left hanging and later succumbed to his injuries.
The man has been identified as Nigel Fordyce of ‘E’ field Sophia.
Relatives and friends are saying that the man was murdered wrongfully, since he was never involved in any criminal activities. In fact, they told this Newscast that the suspect was more a drug addict and would do odd jobs to support his bad habit.
They told this newscast that this was not the first time that the man was trashed by residents of the community.
The Police has so far detained a number of persons for questioning, for the man’s murder, as they continue their investigations.
