‘Firestorm’ promises to be fireworks tomorrow night at the Princess Hotel – 19th Apr 2013
The supporting bouts of the card at the Princess Hotel Tomorrow night promises to be fireworks. The bantamweight division will see Elton ‘The Bully’ Dharry taking on Orlan ‘Pocket Rocket’ Rogers and in the junior middleweight bout will see Gladwin Dorway, who is a knockout specialist, take on Mark Austin for the vacant title. In a super middleweight clash, Mahmood ‘The Extractor’ Loul will take on Derrick Richamond over 4 rounds. The night’s activities which has received widespread support from the business community will also feature 2 amateur fights.
And the Ansa Mc Al squash tournament will continue tonight and during the weekend at the Georgetown Club courts in Camp Street. The Easter tournament got cracking on Wednesday and saw impressive wins for Ashley Khalil, Allan Downes and Ashley De Groot.
Then over at Lusignan, its golf action in the inaugural Exim mining supplies Medal play event on Saturday. Several overseas golfers are expected to tee it up alongside the local players.
And to round off our sports, Hikers Hockey Club will have their mixed hockey festival on Sunday at the St. Stanislaus ground. Nine groups will be divided for a round robin competition and this will then see 4 teams advancing to the next stage. Sponsors of the tournament include DDL with its Diamond Mineral water.
