Rallying call for unity in the football fraternity as elections for new executive draw near – 5th Apr 2013

sports 5th aprA rallying call for unity in the football fraternity as Elections for a new executive draw near. The elections are due in 7 days time and acting President, Franklin Wilson said, Football will only go forward with unity in the camps.

Wilson said the building of infrastructure is important, as well as building a strong Administration, in which all have a role to play.

Wilson also said, he is not too disappointed that he was not nominated for the top position, in which he has been acting now for several years.

Four persons, including a Permanent Secretary, are vying for the Presidency. An electoral Commission headed by Attorney-at-Law Emily Dodson, will be in charge of the conduct of the Elections.

More Football: Alpha United will face Slingerz Footbal Club in a highly anticipated Mayor’s Cup football Final, due for the GFC ground on Sunday night. Alpha reached the final in controversial fashion, after Dem Amstel complained about a controversial goal, which was awarded to Alpha. Slingers beat GDF to continue their giant killing streak in recent times.

Den Amstel and GDF will battle for the 3rd place prize in the first game.
