University of Guyana’s Arts Faculty hosts Art Exposition – 3rd Apr 2013
Facilitator, Michael Khan said if children are not given opportunities to develop self-expression through the arts, they may become inhibited in several aspects during adulthood.
Khan also explained that while the arts do not receive much attention, when compared to the sciences and other disciplines, it is the building block of self-creativity and independent thought.
One pupil, Joel Cole, who participated in the event, spoke about his drawing.
The event was held on Main Street last Thursday and attracted more than 400 pupils from several schools, youth organizations and churches across the country.
