There is a need to expand and develop the Rupununi Rodeo says Prime Minister Hinds – 3rd Apr 2-13
This is the view of Prime Minister Samuel Hinds who was part of this year’s Rupununi Rodeo.
According to the Rodeo committee the event attracted some 5000 patrons which included several overseas tourists and coast landers.
And with this amount of interest, Hinds believes that the Rodeo can be a major attraction.
Hinds who also participated in the annual Guyana Tourism Authority Safari, said even though Guyana does not have the sun, sea and sand like some Caribbean islands, what it has to offer is the unspoilt rainforest and all those attractions that go with this eco-tourism product.
A British tourist told Capitol News why he was attracted to Guyana and especially the Rupununi savannah.
There was also a significant number of Brazilians at this year’s Rodeo.
