Liat plans to remain in the air despite challenges in the Regional Aviation Sector – 28th Mar 2013
The challenges facing the aviation sector are many, but Regional Airline LIAT said, that it is working hard to stay in the air, despite these challenges: This was disclosed by LIAT CEO, Ian Brunton, at the certification ceremony for the Ogle International Airport.
Burton announced that in a few months time, LIAT will be landing its dash 8 aircraft at the newly accredited Regional Airport at Ogle. Brunton said it will have tremendous savings for the company as well as the passengers noting, that a recent survey showed, that the majority of passengers interviewed said, that they would prefer to land at Ogle.
LIAT has averaged just over 700 flights per year to Guyana, over the past 2 years.
