Police Commissioner recommends suspension of licenses of motorists involved in fatal accidents – 26th Feb 2013

Commissioner Brummel said, while this may help in reducing road accidents, he is calling on all road users to go back to basics.
Speeding, as well as drinking and driving are two of the main causes of accidents and the top cop said he wants the lawmen to stake out nightspots.
Just last night a 49-year-old drummer, Davo “Al Capone” Alphanso Barnett was killed after he was struck down by a car on the Beterverwagting Railway Road.
The driver of the car is in Police custody. Already for this year, the road fatality figure is one above that figure at the same time last year.
