Stage set for Carib Soca Monarch Finals – 15th Feb 2013

shot0003The stage is set and the contestants are ready to bring their “A” game, according to the promoters of the annual Carib Soca Monarch competition. The finals will see 18 artistes including the reigning Monarch, Jumo Primo, competing for the coveted title on Saturday at the National Park.

This is the first time that the competition has seen 18 contestants making it into the finals, but that was a result of the semi-finals being cancelled in Berbice last weekend due to bad weather conditions.

The promoters believe, Guyanese fans will see nothing but the best talent on stage come Saturday evening, and even if it rains the show will go on.

During the intermission of the competition ANSA McAL Trading Limited is expected to launch its Carib Mash Band.

The stakes remain high with the first prize being 1.5 million dollars, while the other prizes are 500 thousand dollars and 250 thousand dollars.
