Still no clarity on reports that the wrong person has been charged for fatal East Coast Demerara accident – 8th Feb 2013

shot0004There are still more questions being raised about who was really driving the Toyota Tundra that crashed last Sunday on the Mon Repos public Road, killing 2 persons in the process and injuring several others.

Various photographs are emerging that question the accuracy of the Police’s move in charging a 17-year-old for the accident.

The emergence of these photographs has led to the top cop saying, that this matter ought to be investigated further. Capitol News understands that these new details could have implications for the person now charged and the outcome of his case.

There are suggestions too, that unfamiliarity with which side of the road we use here could have been a factor in the Tundra ending up in the path of the Mini-bus into which it subsequently crashed.

17-year-old Gidram Rasiawan of Eccles., was placed on $750,000 bail after being slapped with several charges. Minibus driver, Godfrey Daniels of Ann’s Grove and Shondell Yaw of Annandale, lost their lives in the smashup.
