Homeowner looks for reimbursement for shabby work done on his East Bank home – 5th Jan 2013
The man says he is frustrated and is complaining about losing thousands of dollars to the contractor. He said, in the early stages of the construction he was forced to call a halt to the construction after the firm he hired was giving him what he calls a “6 for 9”.
Mohabir said he borrowed millions from the bank to complete his home, but during the closing phase of the construction, he discovered that, the veranda, bathroom, and door frames, were all not to the standard he was paying for.
He said he made several attempts to have the contractor reimburse him for the shabby work.
Mohabir said he came to the press to highlight his plight to ensure that persons do not suffer the same fate.
