17 progress to Carib Soca Monarch semi-finals – 4th Jan 2013

shot0003They promised a night of energy and pulsating rhythms and they delivered.

Out of the 21 artistes who performed in front of the judges at the McKenzie Sports Club Ground in Linden on Saturday night, 17 will now face off in the semi-Finals on Saturday in Berbice.

Former Soca Monarch Adrian Dutchin was a crowd favorite as he “juked” his way in front of the Linden Crowd.

But equally entertaining was King Shepherd, he was full of energy on and off the stage.

Jermaine McBean who goes by the stage name ‘Venom’, released the serpent in him and delivered, which gave him a place in the semis.

Also making the semi final cut is Ernesta Nelson, who happens to be a music teacher.

The Carib Soca Monarch competition is in its ninth year.
