Police seek leads into robbery and shooting of PNC/R General Secretary Oscar Clarke – 30th Jan 2013
The PNC/R executive and his wife Linda, had just arrived at their home when the bandits pounced on them.
The bandits then entered another room in the home where Clarke was. He decided to confront the bandits when gunshots were heard.
His wife Linda Clarke told members of the media at the hospital last night, that she was taken into the house on the lower flat, gun butted and placed to lie facedown on the floor.
As word of Clarke’s shooting got around, his collogues both in and out of Parliament and members of the leadership group of the PNC/R rushed to the hospital to console the family.
Leader of the PNC/R, David Granger, said, the shooting of Clarke was upsetting and he expressed concern over the incident.
The Police are continuing their investigations into the incident.
