Vendors and small business owners share differing opinions regarding the current business climate so far for January – 22nd Jan 2013

shot0020With just over a week to go before the end of the month, vendors and small business owners are having differing opinion regarding the current business climate so far for January.

There are mixed reactions from some vendors and small business owners regarding sales so far for 2013. Some say that while the Christmas season was a busy period, they are finding January to be hard as was expected.

For others, while sales are not as high, as compared to previous years, there are seeing some traffic, which augurs well for their bottom line. However, Elton Lowe, who operates a craft business in front of the Guyana Post office, is feeling the effects of the fall out from failed airline charter E-Zjet.

Lowe says he hopes that some measures are put in place to have a cheaper airline to service the void that was created with the grounding of EZjet Airlines.
