Businesses should not be forced to bear the security burden of the state says Opposition Leader – 18th Jan 2013
Granger pointed to the heavy burden borne by the business community to secure their investment. He said that ought to be the responsibility of the state.
Granger said, the APNU is supportive of the security concerns of the private sector. He said, he met with members of the private sector and gave them the assurance that the APNU is supportive of security reform.
Granger said, that he wants to see Guyana become a place that is safer for investment, business people and citizens.
Last year the Minister of Home Affairs, Clement Rohee, introduced an advance security plan; Granger said the APNU is still to see that plan.
