Opposition Leader, David Granger believes 2013 Budget should be about improving lives of working class – 17th Jan 2013
Leader of the Opposition, David Granger, believes, that the 2013 National Budget should be aimed at improving the lives of the working class people. Granger said, too many citizens especially young people, are without jobs or simply falling through the cracks without enough money in their pockets.
Granger said, one meeting has been held so far between the Opposition and Government and according to him, that meeting was nothing much to talk about.
Finance Minister, Dr. Ashni Singh, is currently reviewing submissions from stakeholders, ahead of the presentation of the budget, which must be presented by March 30.
On Wednesday, the Opposition Leader met with President Donald Ramotar, where the two shared concerns about several issues and the possibilities of future in-depth meetings.
