The first match will see Charlestown Secondary, Christ Church and Tucville competing with North Georgetown, Ascension and St. Johns College at the Minister of Education Ground.

Organizer, Marlon Cole says the tournament is aimed at giving the young players the chance to exhibit their talent on a national scale.

All the schools were briefed today.

Meanwhile the Georgetown Football Association in 2 days time, will be electing a new executive to run the operations of football in the Capital. This newscast understands that not all of the clubs have paid up their affiliation fees and therefore cannot vote at the Elections.

And Finally, Guyana’s  hopes are still alive in the Caribbean T20 tournament. An emphatic win over the Leeward Islands will ensure that the local boy’s chances of reaching the semi finals are given a boost.

Meantime,  West Indies opener Chris Gayle is set to join Jamaica’s squad for the Caribbean Twenty20.

Gayle  will replace the injured Andre McCarthy in the line up and is expected to play the side’s final match of the preliminary round against Combined Campuses and Colleges on Friday.

Gayle was not included in the original squad because of his contract with Sydney Thunder in the ongoing Australian Big Bash League.
