GT&T says customers will get a faster and easier way to pay their bills – 17th Jan 2013
Telephone giant GTT, is going mobile in the paying of bills, with the soon to be launched, Money Mobile Service. According to Acting Chief Financial Officer, Sonita Jagan, this service will ease subscribers of walking around with loads of cash and help them to also send money to and from remote areas, all using just their phone.
Jagan, along with Major General Retired, Joe Singh, were recalled to head the Company after the Resignation of CEO Yog Mahadeo and the firing of the CFO and another top employees. She is confident that the service will bring great benefits to the Guyanese people and is confident that the costs will be affordable. All the major utilities are on board.
Ms. Jagan said, GBTI will be their partner and The Bank of Guyana will have oversight over the service.
Several other initiatives were rolled out by the CFO, for the rest of 2013.
