Chief Education Officer urges secondary school studends to submit SBAs on time – 7th Jan 2013
On the first day of the new School Year, the issue of SBAs or School Based Assessments, was raised by the Chief Education Officer, who said that while our CSEC results were not too bad, incomplete SBAs and non-submission, cost our students dearly.
Sam was speaking while on a visit to some schools around the city. He said, the assessments are due by the end of January and all support will be given by his Ministry to ensure that full compliance is achieved.
The SBAs are of 2 year duration and contributes to about 1/5th of the final grade at the CSEC exams.
