Cabinet Secretary Dr. Roger Luncheon remains hospitalised – 21st Dec 2012
Head of the Presidential Secretariat and Cabinet Secretary Dr. Roger Luncheon remains in a City Hospital this evening after being rushed there early this morning following complaints of encountering difficulties breathing.
This is Dr Luncheon’s 2nd trip to the hospital in as many weeks, but there’s not much information being revealed about his condition. He has been having back troubles and reportedly underwent treatment for that a few years back. That problem has been affecting him a lot of late and may have coupled with other health issues.
Today, Presidential Advisor, Gail Teixeira, would only say the Cabinet Secretary has been responding well to treatment.
Dr. Roger Luncheon is one of the key advisors to the President of Guyana and has been serving in that position for all 20 years of the PPP Government, beginning under Dr. Cheddi Jagan in 1992. He is also one of the leading executive members of the PPP.
