Flower Shop to reopen days after being gutted by fire – 18th Dec 2012

The doors of Nesha’s Flower Land will be officially open tomorrow, days after fire of unknown origin gutted the Church Street store.

Today, Yasmin Deonauth told Capitol News, the day after the fire she began a massive clean up exercise and repaired the damaged parts of the building.

She said, she lost around 40 million dollars in materials, stocks and other items she sourced for the Christmas season.

She said, the fire was a setback to her investment. Deonauth said, that the Church Street business was also stocked with items for another business.

Nesha is assuring customers that they can expect the same quality service at affordable prices.

Just recently, Fire Chief, Marlon Gentle, told the media that from the preliminary investigation, the fire was caused by a glue gun which was left on. The owners of the Flower Shop strongly believe that a vagrant was again behind this latest fire.
