Police seek leads to help crack case of murdered Annandale businessman – 10th Dec 2012
Police investigators are looking for leads that could help them to crack the case of the murdered Annandale businessman.
The 35-year-old man, Kamal Ramsahoye, of Market Road Annandale, East Coast Demerara, was stabbed multiple times about the body in what appeared to have been a robbery.
Ramsahoye’s shop and the bottom flat of his business place were ransacked. He was reportedly found in a pool of blood and a toy gun was found next to his body.
His family believes that the businessman may have put up a fight with his attackers, hence the extent of the stab wounds.
They are also reporting that the suspect may have gotten away with an undisclosed sum of cash and other valuables.
The early Sunday morning incident was disturbing to residents of the community who converged on the scene to get a closer look of the body.
The police are looking at several theories. They want to know how the suspects may have gained entry into the man’s business. The building is heavily secured.
Early reports from police sources indicate that they were no sign of forced entry.
