Inquiry to investigate illegal landing of Cessna 421 aircraft
An inquiry is expected to be launched into the mysterious landing of the Cessna 421 aircraft at an illegal airstrip in region 9.
Government Chief Cpokesman and Cabinet Secretary, Dr. Roger Luncheon, said, what is worrying is the Cessna 421 was purposely modified to accommodate longer flying periods.
According to Dr. Luncheon, the administration is concerned with the attempts to disguise the aircraft by repainting it with different colours and the changing the original external numbering to conceal the registration.
The aircraft was grounded at the Ogle airport for two months prior to its departure last Saturday for Brazil after completing maintenance work done at Ogle.
The aircraft was piloted by a Brazilian national who is still being sought by the Civil Aviation Authority to assist with the investigation.
