Arms bust suspects toruched down at Ogle Airport today
Under tight security the two suspects held in Monday’s arms bust at Lethem touched down at the Ogle Airport today. They were brought from Lethem along with the weapons, as the police continue with their investigation into the matter.
One of the suspects name was given as Benedict Thomas who is 19-years-old. The female suspect is still to be identified.
At the Ogle Airport today, the suspect’s attorney, Glen Hanoman, expressed disappointment after he was unable to speak to his client.
The items seized are four automatic rifles along with four magazines and 389,7.62 rounds.
Six M 16 rifles along with two magazines and 74 matching rounds. Two Shrapnel hand grenades, one Icon VHF radio set, One Icon hand-held radio set and one roll of camouflage material.
Hanoman alleged that his client was beaten by the lawmen in their quest for information in the matter.
Hanoman is hoping that good sense could prevail on the part of the police and his client can be given proper representation.
Capitol News understands that the police are hunting a businessman who is alleged to be connected with this arms bust.
