West Indies women today, lost their match against Sri Lanka

In Cricket: The West Indian women today, lost their match against Sri Lanka in Galle today, in a rain affected match. The visitors lost by 5 runs after being set 48 off 8 overs.

Set 48 off 8 overs because of rain, the West Indies women lost by 5 runs. Earlier India were restricted to 50/3 when rain stopped their innings. The Windies women play South Africa on Sunday in Galle and stand a good chance of reaching the semi-finals with a victory.

The West Indies men will be looking  to continue their winning ways in game 2 of their World 20/20 Cup campaign. The West Indies play Sri Lanka tomorrow in a gane they will be looking to win and seal their place in the semi-finals.

On Thursday, they defeated defending champions England by 15 runs thanks to a masterful display from Johnson Charles and Chris Gayle as well as some disciplined bowling led by Ravi Rapaul.

In Basketball: The Pepsi Sonics Basketball Refresh or Go Home Tournament, continues with a double header tonight at the Burnham Court. The Pacesetters vs. Republic Nets  is in progress and  in another hour and a half it will be first division action with Dyna Ravens taking on Guardian.

There will also be an exhibition match by the Pepsi Sonics Junior  Team. The  tournament is being sponsored mainly by DDL.
