GT&T officially launches internet service for Apple and Android platforms
The Guyana Telephone and Telegraph company officially launched its internet service for the Apple and Android platforms. What that means, is that those fancy smart phones that you gadget lovers love to have will now better serve you with quality internet access. GT&T had been quietly testing the service for months and now appears confident enough to invite other persons to do the same.
The company’s Chief Executive Officer, Major General, Retired Joe Singh, believes, that in this technology driven age where everyone wants to be a click away from news and information, the provision of this service comes at a good time for the company and Guyanese consumers.
While GT&T will not be selling most of the smartphones and products like the iPad and other tablet computers, it has partnered with Courts, Starr Computers and Global Technology to do just that. Those companies would be able to set up the service once you buy the product there. Other than that, the GTT Blackberry store on Brickdam, will be the major stop for that. Other branches the company said, would be able to help hook you up to the service soon.
The launch of the new service is coming at a time when customers have been complaining about the Hi-Speed internet service being offered by the company. Launched a few years ago as EMAGINE Broadband, getting the service promised is still beyond your imagination.
