25 persons caught in the act of littering, were arrested, charged and placed before the courts
Some 25 persons caught in the act of littering, were arrested, charged and placed before the courts as the Georgetown City Council continues to target litter bugs.
City Hall Public Relations Officer, Royston King, said, that the exercise would continue. He said, one of the main challenges facing the city is to keep it clean, he believes, that a collective approach is needed.
As the garbage continues to pile up in and around the city, King said, that steps are being taken to remove those large piles of garbage.
While Central Government and the municipality remain at odds, the rubbish piles around the city continue to multiply.
