Jamaican Management consultant Michael Muirhead appointed new Chief Executive officer of WICB

In Cricket: The West Indies Cricket Board announced last evening, that Jamaican Management Consultant Michael Muirhead, has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer, of the WICB. He replaces Ernest Hilarie, who stepped down from the job a few months back, to become an Ambassador for the Government of St. Lucia.

Hilarie had a rocky relationship with the West Indies players association and hopes that the new CEO, will be able to mend fences as they work together for the good of the game.

In Table Tennis: And back here in Guyana, the Guyana Table Tennis Association met last evening and unanimously voted in former National Table Tennis Champion, Godfrey Munroe, as the Interim President of the Association. Munroe who was the Vice President, is expected to continue the work that was in place and being done by former Police Commissioner, Henry Greene, who served as the President of the association up until his sudden passing just over a week ago.

Guyana has been seeing improved performances on the international table tennis stage over the past few years.
