Correia Group of Companies launches overseas training programme to address shortage of pilots
The Correia Group of Companies has launched its overseas training programme which it hopes, will address the current shortfall in available pilots in Guyana. According to Chief Financial Officer, Nicole Correia, The Correia Group is very aware of the needs of the local industry and is doing what is needed to meet the demands.
Ms. Correia said, the programme has been promoted among the group’s employees, since it is part of the group’s focus to see their employees achieve upward mobility. The training will take place at the Flight Safety International Academy in Miami and according to Andrew Farinha, the raining will prepare the pilot for the tough conditions they will experience in Guyana. He said that the flight safety Academy is one of the best training academies around.
After completing the one year training programme, the trainees will continue further training here, and will be bonded to the company for five years.
