Agricola residents protested outside Brickdam Police Station over shooting death of teen
Shonnette Grant, the mother of the teenager shot dead by Police Tuesday, was among an angry group of Agricola residents outside the Brickdam Police station. Residents and relatives of Shaquille Grant, the young man who was killed, called for justice.
The grandfather of Shaquille Grant, expressed his outrage at what happened and accused the Police of spinning the story.
Shaquille Grant was one of the young persons in Agricola who were trained through the citizens security programme, which helps youths acquire skills to be meaningfully employed and help promote safe neighbourhoods. Shaquille Grant received his certificate at the hands of the Minister of Home Affairs, Clement Rohee.
Up to press time, the Police gave no reason why the four young men from Agricola are still in the Brickdam lock ups.
