Ex-police moving to the court 2 years after allegedly being injured by former Government Minister

Today marks two years since ex-policeman John July was injured in an accident allegedly involving former Minister of Local Government Kellawan Lall and the case seems to have fallen into one of the force’s cold case jacket. Lall is now Guyana’s Ambassador to Brazil.

The ex-policeman who is now incapacitated said that after two years the police are still to take a statement and commence a proper investigation.

July was the pillion rider on a motor cycle which was reportedly hit by the Minister’s vehicle. He suffered a broken leg, and as a result, steel was implanted into the leg

July who served the Guyana police force for 20 years, said he gets the impression that some people are bigger that the law.

July said he would be moving to the court to have justice served in the matter.
