City Hall will soon move to downsize

City Hall will soon move to downsize its workforce  in an attempt to be more efficient in the management of the city, that announcement was made by Town Clerk Carol Sooba today.

The Town Clerk said that it’s becoming more difficult for City Hall to foot a 67 million dollar salary bill monthly. She said that City Hall right now is top heavy.

According to the Town Clerk the council is currently engaging the union on the issue, but no timeline is set for the downsizing exercise.

And today some City Council workers were back on the picket line for their salaries for last month. The workers said that the council is getting overbearing and they have bills to pay and families to maintain.

The workers were given an assurance that they will be paid later this afternoon.
