Thieves break into church

The thieves came by night and when they left the Clonbrook Assembly of God church on the East Coast of Demerara, they had in their possession all the tithes and offering, the church’s PA system and other electrical appliances. With what appears to be lots of  time on their hands they even took the communion wine.

Pastor Shawn Wilson told Capitol News that the thieves broke  into the church through this door on the Eastern side of the building.

All this week the church is celebrating its 31st anniversary and had a packed program planned.

Pastor Wilson is appealing for the return of the items.

The Church has been one of the shining lights in the community, assisting the elderly and youths.
