Ezjet officially launches it’s Georgetown to Toronto, Canada service at a cheaper price.
Low cost charter airline Ezjet has officially added another route to its flight schedule with the introduction of a direct flight to Toronto, Canada at a cheaper price.
The company made its inaugural flight take off from the Cheddi Jagan International Airport on Tuesday. Chief Executive Director, Sonny Ramdeo said his focus at this time is to make Guyana a destination for tourist and Guyanese thinking about coming back home making travel easy for them.
Acting Tourism Minister, Irfaan Ali said the government remains confident that the airline market would grow. He believes competition is what stimulates the market.
Ali said talks are ongoing to have several other airlines enter the market which includes jet blue, virgin Atlantic and British airways.
The Boeing 767 aircraft has the seating capacity for 218 passengers. Ezjet would be making trips to Toronto every Tuesday and Thursday.
