Members of the Guyana police force rewarded for their crime fighting efforts
Today members of the Guyana police force were rewarded for their crime fighting efforts and maintenance of the peace.
But they were quickly reminded by the Commissioner of police Leroy Brummell to work toward the development of the force and be ambassadors of the country.
Brummell said that the focus of the force is to ensure that crime is suppressed and pledged to work along with other stakeholders in this regard.
Today over a 1000 men and women in uniform, members of the community policing groups and other citizens were rewarded at a simple ceremony at the tactical services unit square Eve Leary.
The award ceremony was part of the force’s 173rd anniversary celebrations.
