Lindeners not willing to accept electricity tariff increases
Lindeners are continuing to send a strong signal to the administration that they are not willing to accept those electricity tariff increases.
Member of the APNU Aubrey Norton said that rather than the government seeking to impose its will on the people of Linden they should have reform done in GPL to bring down the cost of power to people outside of Linden.
Norton said he finds it strange that the administration never thought of engaging residents of the bauxite town on the matter.
The residents are saying the economic plight facing the community is of grave concern to them and all they have been getting are broken promises from the administration.
Lindeners have been receiving subsidised electricity rates for decades.
