APNU on One Stop Shop

APNU is calling on the Government to have an urgent and independent inquiry into the entire process used for the allocation of House lots. This call comes even as citizens continue to wait for years to get a lot and when they are allotted it comes with a hefty price tag.

According to the APNU this recent call for an inquiry stemmed from the request for huge sums by ministry officials at the recent one stop shop. At a press conference held at APNU’s Headquarters in Hadfield Street, Executive Member of APNU, Joe Harmon said that the Ministry is mismanaging the process of allocation of houselots.

APNU said that at the recent one stop shop at the Stadium many persons turned up with the hope of having a houselot, but their hopes were dashed due to what they say is the the incompetence of the housing minister.

The party gave their take on how the process could be more efficient.

The Housing Ministry had recently held a One Stop Shop for low, Middle and High-income house lots in Providence.
