Sparendaam residents affected by road rehabilitation
Over the last month residents in the Sparendaam community on the East Coast of Demerara have been faced with this condition of several streets in the area which are currently being rehabilitated.
When it rains according to residents the streets are flooded and become slippery since the temporary walkway at the side of the road is mud dam.
One woman explained to Capitol News that for some time now the roads in the community have been neglected and it is about time attention was placed on the roads.
The rehabilitation road project in the Sparendaam community is expected to last for 18 months and the contractors are not even half way into the time allocated for the completion.
