EZ Jet set to begin Toronto Service.
The government has given the all clear for Guyanese owned Carrier EZjet to operate twice weekly non schedule flights between Guyana and Toronto effective from the 15 of june this year and running for one year. EZ jet is expected to launch its service to the Toronto market at the end of june. Already the carrier operates 5 flights weekly to the new York market.
Its service to Toronto will be nonstop and when it begins the operations there, it will become the 2nd airline to be offering a service between Guyana and Toronto. Currently, Caribbean Airlines is the only other airline offering that service. And still with Caribbean airlines; That company will soon be launching its schedule service to London. It will mark a return to the British market for the airline after a number of years and initially, Caribbean airlines was looking to offer about 4 weekly flights to London. That has now been cut down to just 2 weekly flights. Caribbean airlines is also changing its top brass with a new chairman coming in and with the airline looking to re evaluate its operations in wake of some financial losses over the past year.
