Queens College Leads the Country at SCEC Exams
Queens College has once again grabbed the headlines in this year’s SCEC examinations copping seven of the top ten places. Anuradha Dev of Queen’s College and Shalita App-a-du of New Amsterdam Multilateral both scored the highest gaining 15 Grade Ones at this year’s sitting.
Education Minister Shaik Baksh said the Caribbean Examination Council is yet to determine which of the two students will be the country’s top performer. Baksh was at the time announcing the list of persons who have secured Grade One passes in eight or more subjects.
Queens College has secured forty four places in this year’s top one hundred spot at the CSEC examinations followed by Bishops’ High school and St. Stanislaus College.
Meanwhile, QC was also able to produce the two top candidates for the CAPE examination after they were both able to secure grades one passes in five units.
The Education Ministry is reporting that CSEC results will officially be handed over to each school by next week Thursday. But candidates can access their results online at www.cxc.org from 10pm tonight.
