New Vendors Mall to be Commissioned by the End of July
The Markets’ Division of the Mayor and City Council has announced that it will officially commission the new stelling view mall on July 30.
Vendors whose stalls were broken down during the Public Works Ministry campaign at the front of the market will be relocated in the new facility. The mall is expected to accommodate some 60 stalls.
The Clerk of Markets during a media briefing said the mall was made possible through a public private partnership which saw some 50 million dollars being pumped into the project. He made it clear that the project was undertaken without any financial support from City Hall.
Griffith noted that the new facility will allow stall holders to conduct their business in a modernize environment while making it easier for shoppers.
The monthly rent for stalls will be 80 dollars per square feet. On the note of security the municipality has pledged to work with stall holders in developing a suitable security plan for the new mall.
