Religious Organization Donates School Supplies to Students
A religious organization has distributed some 200 backpacks with stationery as well as other school related items to several students from grades one to eleven.
The donation was made possible by the Suriname/Guyana Bible Society and other donors under a project called Kids at Risk.
Area Representative, Neville Butts said it’s the fifth in a series of exercises that target children who are in vulnerable circumstances.
Butts said the organization has recognized that it has a role to play in assisting those in need while ministering the teaching of the Guyana Bible Society.
Students who benefited from the exercise came from communities such as Sophia, Albouystown, East and West Ruimveldt. The project is expected to cater for two thousand children around the country.
